		<description>Devon,

Yes, we lift M,W,Fri of each week. Lifting is a very important part of our training plan. Our weight training workouts are a bit different than some I have seen, but we have seen huge improvements in strength and speed because of them.

		<description>Hi Alec,

Like most other sports practices are generally held 6 days a week (Monday - Saturday). Each event group and coach sets their own practice schedule so there may be some variation. Once competitions start, meets will be held on Thursday afternoon and some Saturdays. Practice length can also vary, depending on the day of the week, time of the season and other factors - most of the time assume it will be about 2-3 hours. Some events require longer practice times because they have specialty equipment to set up and take down as well.

Each participant on the team competes as an individual but everyone contributes to the team&#039;s overall success. Individuals are always recognized for their performance but competitions are scored and won as a team! That makes team practices and your commitment very important to us. We have dealt with time conflicts in the past, and there may be some things that we can do to accommodate your unique case. If you have concerns I hope that you will come, give it a try, and talk with us a little more about your situation. :-)

		<description>@Andrea
thanks for getting in touch with us. Practice starts for the season on March 1st, we meet in the main gym at about 2:30. During the first week we do a couple days of &quot;testing&quot; to help people who have never done track to discover what they are good at and to help us find any other hidden talent among people who already know what events they want to do. We don&#039;t try any of the actual events during these days but just do some simple drills related to each event category (running, jumps, and throws). There are over a dozen events in track and field so I can promise there will be something you like!

If you have more questions post an addional comment or send any of the coaches an email - you&#039;ll find our email addreses on the Coaches page.

We look toward to meeting you in March!

		<description>Dear Coaches,
My name is Andrea and I&#039;m an exchange student at WHS this year. Right now I&#039;m playing in the JV Basketball Team, but after that I&#039;m really thinking of doing Track. Since I&#039;ve never done Track before, some girls told me that there&#039;s gonna be a day where people could try the different activities and find out what they are gonna do. Is that right? When is it and when does the actual track season start?
Thanks a lot for your help!
